August 11th, 1999 is an important date for the astronomy of the 20th
century. This is the date of the last Total Solar Eclipse of the
Millennium visible from Europe. The path of the Moon's shadow will
cross the surface of the Earth starting with Atlantic Ocean,
continuing through Southern UK, Central Europe, Middle East and India
and ending on Indian Ocean. It will be possible to see the Partial
Solar Eclipse from a larger area, which include North East of North
America, whole Europe, North Africa and West Asia.
